The Panasonic LUMIX FH8 Digital Camera is a slim, compact and stylish point-and-shoot camera. It boasts a 16.1-megapixel 1/2.33" CCD sensor for superior image quality. Aside from easily capturing gorgeous still images, even in low light situations, the camera can record 720p High Definition (HD) video in MP4 format via a dedicated video button. Equipped with a 24 mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens, the LUMIX FH8 offers a 5x optical zoom with f/2.5 brightness. The FH8 incorporates creative modes to spice up your photography. The popular Beauty Retouch function lets you give photos a bunch of different cosmetic effects and Auto Retouch adjusts contrast and brightness levels to lend photos a different appearance. The LUMIX FH8 also adds Miniature Effect mode where peripherals are defocused and saturation and contrast are emphasized to give the picture the look of a diorama. Video recorded in Miniature Effect mode is played back in 10x fast-forwarding, which makes it comical and fun to watch.

Intelligent Auto, or iA mode, enables you to automatically activate a whole suite of technologies to improve photos-- without adjusting settings each time conditions change. Under the iA mode umbrella are: AF Tracking, which makes it easy to lock on subjects in a frame and keep them in focus - even as they move; MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization); Intelligent ISO Control; Face Detection; Intelligent Scene Selector; and Intelligent Exposure.
